♦ Jeramy Jermaine McNair, 40, a convicted murderer released in January from Central Prison after 17 year incarceration and now living at 120 Emerson Lane Apt.304 in Salisbury, was arrested after an alleged domestic dispute highlighted by his ramming his girlfriend’s rental car with a vehicle borrowed from her in a parking lot on the 2400 block of South Main Street near Rowan Mill Road in Salisbury Tuesday afternoon. Mcnair, convicted of 2nd degree murder in Cumberland County in May of 1999, served almost 17 year in the State maximum security prison in Raleigh.

McNair was charged with resist/delay/obstruct a public officer (misdemeanor), assault with a deadly weapon or assault inflicting serious injury (misdemeanor) and injury to personal property (misdemeanor). Under a secured $2,500 bond, he was held in the Rowan County Detention Center until he was released on bond.
Salisbury Police sources allege McNair and his girlfriend Roslyn Maxwell, 46, also living at Emerson Lane in Salisbury, had a domestic argument lasting hours prior to the ramming incident.
Taking place in a parking lot, McNair allegedly rammed his girlfriend’s rental car twice in the rear. Both cars, a 2009 Chevvy Aveo and a 2013 Ford Focus were damaged. The car McNair drove had a flat tire and could not be driven.
The girlfriend drove to a friend’s house while McNair walked to his job at 900 Airport Road where he was arrested.
