♦ Since the spring a rise in armed street robberies with handguns and other dangerous weapons are occurring throughout Salisbury, N.C. According to Salisbury Police sources an armed robbery was reported at 5:10 a.m. by Kurt Theodore Stebe, 25, of Pinewood Ave. in Salisbury who was held up at gunpoint by 700 N. Church Street near W. Lafayette Street. The gunman, a young male, held a handgun on Stebe while he relieved him of a pocket knife and $100 in cash before fleeing the area.
No injuries were reported.
The hold-up remains under investigation.
