♦ Burglaries and break-ins add to the high cost of doing business in Salisbury, N.C. Replacing damaged doors and windows and eating the costs of lost goods, valuables, and cash diminishes profits.
Salisbury Police sources report that Flower’s Bakery Thrift Store, a popular spot on 1405 North Main, reported a burglary–forcible entry on Thursday at 8:38 a.m. The thrift store was entered through a broken glass door. An undisclosed amount of bakery goods were removed. The damaged door was valued at $150.
The burglary remains under investigation.

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Pistol Pop’s Firearms at 3018 S. Main Street, Salisbury’s premier gun and ammo store, reported another burglary–attempted forcible entry on Friday at 2:53 a.m. Once more Pistol Pop’s superior security setup forced the would be burglars to flee the area before they could penetrate the store. The point of entry was the front door. However, the very loud alarm system dissuaded the miscreants from sticking around for any serious “shopping”.
