♦ According sources in the Salisbury Police Department, Commissioner Craig Pierce and others living in the city of Salisbury, Donald Trump signs are being vandalized or stolen all over Salisbury, N.C. Apparently Donald Trump has curried major disfavor with young Black persons who were sighted on several occasions making quick work of the signs. So far no one has reported Hillary Clinton signs being damaged or stolen even though she is distinctly unpopular out in Rowan County.
Yesterday the RFP spoke with Commissioner Craig Pierce who reported that Trump signs were disappearing on a regular basis at the Rowan County Republican Headquarters. On Wednesday he confronted two young men in their early teens who just vandalized Trump signs and left them on the grassy border by the intersection of North Main and East Henderson. When Commissioner Pierce confronted the pair they told him, “Everybody’s tearing up those signs.”
Pierce told the young men those signs cost $10 a pop. The two took off.
On another note reports from early voting at the West End Plaza mention a heavy turnout.
