♦ The breaking and entry artists who prowl Salisbury all hours of the day and night scored more homes and businesses the past week. Below are two reports from the pick of the burglary litter.
Salisbury Police sources report a burglary–forcible entry at one of Salisbury’s top biker bars “The Carriage Room” on 2141 Statesville Boulevard. The police received a report of a forced entry from the owner Saturday at 11:12 a.m. The would be burglars attempted to pry open a door with a prying tool. The attempted break-in damaged a door. Damage was estimated to cost $300. The burglar(s) left before they could complete their mission. The strip mall, where the Carriage Room is located, is frequently targeted for burglaries.

♦ Sources in the Salisbury Police Department reported a burglary–forcible entry at a home in the 1200 block of North Church Street. Nyanpu Chea, 33, reported the crime to the 911 dispatcher at 2:58 p.m. after her return from church. Stolen during the burglary were two table model TVs valued at $890, a NABI/Dreamtab tablet valued at $190, assorted jewelry valued at $100, and 2 book bags valued at $38.
