♦ Salisbury, N.C. has become infamous for its home invasions where victims are brutalized or even shot and killed. It doesn’t take long to recall the Crown Point Drive tragic shooting murder of Lacynda Diane Feimster last August during a home invasion.
Salisbury Police sources report that on Thursday night an exceptionally brutal home invasion took place on the 1200 block of West Horah Street in the city’s West End when a trio knocked on the door, then burst into the home as the door opened. From that point on the trio allegedly terrorized the occupants, pistol whipping one (They required hospital treatment) and allegedly holding residents hostage while a home invader went off to try his luck at an ATM with one of the occupants ATM cards. Strike out. We can imagine the anger that welled up in someone with little tolerance for frustration and a short fuse.

Reported stolen during the home invasion were a television, ATM cards, and wallets, however all of these items were recovered later.
After the trio left, the occupants called 911 dispatch. Arriving officers learned quickly the whereabouts of the home invaders and drove straight away to 1331 W. Bank Street where they arrested Alvin Mclastair Alexander, 24, a convicted felon who lives on Link Avenue in Salisbury. Justin Jermaine Horton, 26, was arrested a few hours later. A third suspect’s arrest is said to be immanent.

Alexander was charged with robbery with firearms or other dangerous weapons (felony), possessing stolen goods (felony), weapons possession by a felon of firearms etc. prohibited (felony), possession of controlled substance schedule II (felony), possession controlled substance schedule VI (misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
Under a secured $250,000 bond, Alexander is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
A second man sought in the alleged home invasion, Justin Jermaine Horton, 26 was arrested this morning and charged with possession of controlled substance schedule II (felony), possession of controlled substance VI (misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor). Under a secure $50,000 bond, Horton is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
