♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Darrell Houston, of 1039 Old Plank Road in Salisbury, was the victim of all other shooting into an occupied property. The shooting was reported at 9:28 a.m. No injuries were reported. The firearm employed in the shooting was undetermined. A window was damaged. The estimated damage was set at $200. The shooter was unknown to Mr. Houston.

♦ Sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report that Cindy Barnes Dixon, 57, of 1305 N. Church Street, was arrested Friday for allegedly trafficking heroin out of her home. During a search deputies found all over 28 grams of heroin.
Dixon was charged with trafficking opium or heroin (felony) and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance (felony). Under a secured $250,000 bond, Dixon remains in the Rowan County Detention.
