♦ On Friday about 2:45 p.m. a 25 year-old man was found in a bullet-riddled car in the parking lot of Brenner Crossing Apartments at Brenner Avenue near Standish Streets in Salisbury. A woman at the scene, said to be the victim’s girlfriend, identified the victim as Darius Marquis Robertson of 445 Jackson Road in Salisbury. The car Robertson was shot in belonged to the girlfriend and had Georgia car dealer tags. She lent it to him earlier Friday morning.

Officers at the scene did not know where the actual shooting took place. The victim was found in driver’s seat next to the bullet-punctured door.
The wounded man was transported to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. Later he was transported via helicopter to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. His wounds are alleged to be not life-threatening.

Robertson was allegedly involved in a shooting incident in early June in the county:
