♦Downtown Salisbury Inc. acted thoughtlessly at the last minute to back out of “New Years Eve at the Bell Tower” and leave Salisbury in the lurch. Many of us are rightfully angered after supporting Downtown Salisbury Inc. in their push to get the Central Office at 329 S. Main so they could save their Empire Hotel investment. Downtown Salisbury Inc.’s backing out was tasteless in the light of our downtown’s low morale after an abysmal holiday shopping season and the recent disheartening news about our city suffering from soaring poverty. Could their timing be any worse?
Thank you Clyde for trying to save Salisbury’s New Year’s Eve, but it just won’t be the same. The City of Salisbury should give Clyde back every red cent they forced him to pay in code violations and they should step up.
You will not see me at another Downtown Salisbury Inc. “Night Out”.
