♦ Salisbury N.C. suffers from a large number of murders, shootings, and stabbings also is tilting under the immense weight of burglaries, break-ins, and smash n’ grabs. Here is a sampling of this week burglaries and break-ins.
According to Salisbury Police sources a Habitat for Humanity construction site was a victim of burglary–forcible entry on Friday at 236 Union Heights Boulevard. The crime was reported at 8:21 a.m. Someone employed a prying tool to jimmy open a window to gain entry into a house under renovation. The burglars helped themselves to $1,630 worth of construction materials which included siding, electric panels, and insulation.

♦ According to sources in the Salisbury Police Department Sparky’s Car Wash, at 2144 Statesville Boulevard, was “visited” once again by thieves bent on liberating money from the business’s many coin operated machines. Thieves likely using either a chisel or an industrial screwdriver jimmied off a coin-operated device from a Magic Wand vacuum cleaner and made off with $40 in coins. The Magic Wand vacuum cleaner sustained $150 worth of damage.
