Salisbury: Demarco Oglesby Arrested for Alleged Crack, Opioid, and Pot Haul on W. Monroe St. Police Hunt for Kenneth “Dutch” Lark

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Demarco Antoine Oglesby, 38, living at 1020 West Monroe Street in Salisbury, was arrested Tuesday in the Walmart parking lot at 323 S. Arlington Street after allegedly running from the police.  Oglesby and Kenneth Derrell “Dutch” Lark, 34, also of 1020 West Monroe Street, were the focus of a two month undercover drug investigation conducted by the Salisbury Police along Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, ALE, and the Office of Homeland Security.

After Oglesby was taken into custody officers allegedly seized 7.2 grams of crack and $2,052 in cash

Oglesby was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a controlled substance schedule II (felony), and resist, obstruct, delay an officer (misdemeanor). Under a secured $7,500 bond, he was detained in the Rowan County Detention Center before being released on bond.

Officers searched the home at 1020 W. Monroe Street and allegedly seized $8,078 in cash, 19 hydrocodone pills (a potent opioid painkiller), 97.8 grams of cocaine, and 1005.5 grams of marijuana. An impressive haul.

The Salisbury Police are now hunting for Kenneth Derrell “Dutch” Lark who fled from the West Monroe Street home while officers searched the residence. According to warrants Lark is wanted for trafficking cocaine (felony), trafficking opioids (felony), possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana (felony), maintaining a dwelling (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and resist/obstruct/delay (misdemeanor).
