♦ Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources reported that Amanda Gardner, 32, victim of a burglary–forcible entry at her home on the 800 block of King Road in Salisbury. The crime was reported at 3:07 p.m. on Monday the 23rd. Bodily force was employed to gain entry through a door. The home allegedly was targeted for guns. A suspect’s white Chevvy 4-door truck was seen by the house according to neighbors.
Stolen during the burglary were MMC AR 15’s whose total value was estimated at $2,200, a bolt action Remington 700 Rifle with scope valued at $800, a Leupold scope valued at $579, collectible coins valued at $3,500, coin money valued at $300, a jewelry box valued at $700, and 2 necklaces valued at $300. Damaged during the break-in were 2 door frames and doors valued at $2,000, a bathroom wall valued $200, and 1 bedroom suit valued at $2,500. The total of stolen valuables was estimated at $8,379. Damages were estimated at $4,700.
