Leonard Calvin Givens, Jr.:
From our article in yesterday’s RFP:
“According to warrants issued for Givens he is being sought for assault with a deadly weapon (felony) and “shooting into an occupied moving vehicle (felony).
Sunday’s shootings took place in a parking lot at 120 E. Council street as the result of an escalating argument taking place at the King Tut Café and Hookah Lounge at 5 Easy Street. A large crowd spilled outside and multiple shots were fired which could be heard all over Downtown Salisbury. As a result three shooting victims were transported to Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center with non-life threating wounds.
Law enforcement believed Givens may be in the West Monroe Street area of Salisbury where he may be staying with friends. He drives a dark blue or black Ford Super Duty Truck. His former address was 125 Panther Point Road, in Richfield, N.C. More arrests are expected in this case.
If you are a friend of Mr. Givens urge him to contact a lawyer and turn himself into the Salisbury Police. At 22 years-old his life remains ahead of him.”
