♦ Sources in the Salisbury Police report that Marcus Crotts, 21, a delivery driver for Papa John’s Pizza on 1030 Freeland Drive, was the victim of a robbery–strong arm no weapon Thursday at approximately 12:11 a.m. Crotts was delivering food to 609 S. Craige Street (In the heart of the Salisbury’s notorious “Pizza Truck Triangle”). Crotts had pulled up to a house there when he was jumped by a strongarm robber(s) and relieved of 3 pizzas and a container of Sierra Mist soda. The value of the 3 pizzas and the Sierra Mist was said to be $44.54. Crotts sustained minor injuries during his assault.

Pizza delivery drivers are easy prey for robbers desiring cash and food in Salisbury. Frequently drivers are lured to an address and are either held up at gun or knife point or strong armed. Knock on wood no pizza delivery men or women have been shot or knifed to death during a strong arm to date. In Salisbury the law of probability rises as the weeks and months go forward.
