♦ All through this past weekend in Salisbury from Friday afternoon through early Sunday morning gunshots could be heard throughout the city. South Shaver St., which has been particularly busy with shootings, experienced another drive-by shooting at 200 South Shaver on Friday when it was reported to 911 dispatch that Johnny Wright, Jr., 52, of S. Shaver St. by the intersection of E. Fisher St. was a victim of assault–gun reported to the Salisbury Police Department at 2:11 p.m. Mr. Wright, on foot not far from his home on South Shaver St,, was shot at from a passing black Chevrolet Suburban SUV. A handgun was used in the crime. Mercifully Mr. Wright was not struck by bullets. He did not know his assailant(s).

The Salisbury Police have named no suspects in this case.
