♦ Rowan County Sheriff Office and Spencer Police Department sources report that Jerome Raheem Soogrim, 21, a felon living on S. Clay Street in Salisbury, was arrested on Monday in Spencer for an alleged March armed robbery in an apartment complex parking lot at 427 N. Yadkin Ave. Soogrim allegedly used a long-barrel revolver in the commission of the crime. The victim gave up $2,800 in cash. During his arrest, Soogrim allegedly struggled with officers before he was handcuffed an taken into custody.
Jerome Raheem Soogrim:
Soogrim was charged with robbery with firearms or other dangerous weapons (felony) and resist/delay/obstruct a public officer (misdemeanor).
Under a secured $35,000 bond, he is being held in the Rowan Country Detention Center.
