♦According to the FBI crime statistics for Salisbury, N.C. murders in 2012 there was a one murder recorded. In 2013 the Salisbury Police Department reported 5 murders a major statistical upswing for a small city.
Know that the Salisbury Police Department, no matter what their claims are for added protection for our citizens, are now woefully undermanned due to retirements, firings, and wrongful terminations. We have fewer police than we had at the start of 2012.
Should we trust the city’s crime statistics reports especially in the light that our city seldom records simple assaults, unless they involve domestic disputes? And know too our city is infamous for manipulating its fiber optic network debacle into “showing a profit” by hiding its Fibrant salaries in other departments. Fibrant claimed it only has 3 employees.
Know that Salisbury, N.C. is among the top-rated per capita urban crime areas in North Carolina, according to the FBI, where break-ins, murders, a train robbery, stick-ups, larcenies, car jacks, burglaries, arsons, muggings, and bank robberies occur. Our city possesses numerous gangs and large areas of badlands. With poverty soaring in Salisbury (28%) according to the census bureau and meth, heroin, and crack easily obtainable on our streets, our citizens absolutely need to be vigilant and well-protected to have any modicum of safety. Don’t be mislead by sugar-coating or you may wind up a statistic.
