♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Solomon McCall, 22, of BHS Drive in Salisbury, was the victim of an assault–hands/feet/fist in the Three Star Mini-Mart parking lot at 1130 North Main Street Tuesday. The assault occurred around 2 p.m., but was not reported until 10:55 p.m. due to the victim’s condition. McCall sustained internal injuries from the beating. His assailant said to be a stranger arrived on the lot in a Cadillac. No description provided of either the assailant or his vehicle.
The area around Three Star Mini-Mart, formerly the M & L Mini-Mart, has long held the reputation as a no-man’s land where persons with bad intentions frequently hang out. On January 9th a couple from the County Club pulled into Three Star Mini-Mart parking lot and experienced getting their car shot-up. Likely they were unaware of area’s notoriety. They were lucky to drive out of there alive.
