Salisbury: Police Arrest 3 Men Monday After a Car Stop on W. Fisher St. and Allegedly Find Guns, Drugs, and a Suspect Wanted for Strong Arm Robbery

♦ Salisbury Police sources reported that officers found a Chevrolet Malibu parked on W. Fisher Street near Lloyd Street with three men in it on Monday at around 7 p.m. An officer immediately recognized Aquavius Robert Lee as having outstanding warrants for his arrest as a suspect in a March strong arm robbery (reported in the RFP). Immediately the officers ordered the trio out and searched both them and the car. The officers allegedly turned up five handguns, ammo galore, firearm magazines, $525 in cash, 318 grams of marijuana, 2 cellphones, digital scales, and a gram of cocaine.

Arrested were Aquavius Robert Lee, 20, of the 1300 block of West Bank Street in Salisbury, Aaron Devon Wilks, 25, of 433 Harrell Street in Salisbury, and John Alvin Jeffries, Jr., 16, of the 800 block of S. Fulton Street in Salisbury.

Lee is charged with attempted common law robbery (felony), assault simple (misdemeanor), possession of controlled substance schedule II (felony), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

Under a secured $7,500 bond, he is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Wilks is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture schedule VI (felony), possession of controlled substance II (felony), maintain dwelling/vehicle for controlled substance (misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

Under a secured $5,000 bond, Wilks bonded out of the Rowan County Detention Center.

Jeffries was charged with carry concealed gun (misdemeanor) and possession/carry firearm by minor (misdemeanor).

Under a secured $2,500 bond, Jeffries is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
