♦ According to Salisbury Police sources, a Captain Melonie Thompson Press Conference, and persons who were Nashville Nights, a popular Downtown nightclub last night, Salisbury got the nearest thing to a one-man riot. Allegedly it was a highly intoxicated 300 lb. White dude armed to the teeth with a tactical hatchet, several knives, and 2 guns. He was wearing black, dressed in a kilt, and allegedly told people at Nashville Nights at 127 E. Innes Street he would shoot anyone who said anything to him. He also allegedly growled at customers. Police identified the thrill–a-minute White dude as Brian Timothy Allen, 43, of the 800 block of N. Jackson Street. Allegedly crazy-eyed drunk and sporting mutton-chop sideburns, Allen stalked the 100 block of East Innes and somehow wound up on the roof of Totally Polished Nails and Spa at 123 E. Innes Street (Formerly Dead Eds).
Nashville Nights, 127 E. Innes Street:
At 2.55 a.m. the first 911 dispatch went out describing Allen’s alleged get-up and behavior at Nashville Nights. The Police could not locate Allen at first until they received a 2nd 911 dispatch at 3:16 a.m. directing them to the rooftop of Totally Polished Nails and Spa at 123 E. Innes Street. The Salisbury Police called the Salisbury Fire Department to send out a ladder truck to assist them bringing down Allen. A police officer found Allen rolling around on the roof by an HVAC unit. He cut his arm when he climbed onto a railing to get onto he roof.

Location Totally Polished Nails, 123 E. Innes Street, Salisbury, N.C.:
Allen, according to officers, was cooperative and pleasant. Perhaps the badges and police weapons had an abrupt sobering effect?
Allen is said to have a concealed carry permit and will likely lose it according to N.C. laws.
What was puzzling to the staff of the Rowan Free Press was that Allen was only issued a citation for carrying a concealed firearm after consuming alcohol. We believe the penalties for this kind of armed and menacing behavior deserves a criminal penalty with teeth and fines. Not only were people allegedly menaced last night by an armed man, it’s expensive to send out patrol cars and to call in a Salisbury Fire Department ladder truck.
