♦ Schneider Electric, Inc., an electrical manufacturing facility just outside Salisbury’s city limits on 150 Summit Park Drive in Rowan County, announced this week they are transferring production to Columbia, South Carolina and Pennsylvania. The facility employs some 60 plus people. The move will start in the last quarter of 2017 and should be completed by mid-2018.
Qualifying employees, at the Summit Park Drive facility, will be provided with severance pay, benefits, and assistance in finding new employment.
The manufacturing facility will join Rowan County’s glut of vacant manufacturing buildings.
