♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Mortez Dujan Millender, 33, living at 619 N. Fulton Street in Salisbury, was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman into unconsciousness on Monday night at his home at 619 N. Fulton Street. The alleged victim was Tiaya Tanisha Millender, 31, is said to be Millender’s sister from Woodstock, Georgia. 911 Dispatch was alerted at 9:41 a.m. by someone in the home that a strangling assault took place and dispatched police to the residence. Strangulation into unconsciousness creates a potentially lethal situation.
Mortez Dujuan Millender:
Millender was arrested and charged with “assault by strangulation”. Under a secure $5,000 bond, Millender is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center. His first court appearance will be Thursday July 13th.
Millender has a previous record in Cobb County, Georgia. Full details are not available at this time.
