Salisbury: Trio Busted Thursday by Probation Office and Salisbury Police in Alleged Large Scale Drug Haul on Pine Street

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources a probation officer made a surprise home visit on Thursday evening to 806 Pine Street in Salisbury and hit the jackpot where a pair of probationers lived: Sebastian Lamon Rankin, 31, and Dichris Terrell Wood, 29.  Wood’s friend Kennedy Brooke Campbell, 21, living on Brantley Road, Kannapolis, was also on hand when the probation officer allegedly spotted drugs in the living room area.  The Salisbury Police were alerted and arrived around 7 p.m. to secure the house until search warrants could be obtained and served.

When the search of the house and Rankin’s vehicle was conducted officers allegedly found 11.6 grams of crack, 53 grams of ecstasy, 30.9 grams of heroin, 4.9 grams of cocaine powder, 38.2 grams of pot, 10.4 grams of meth, and assortment of drug paraphernalia, a .38 caliber handgun, and 10 cellphones.

Campbell charged with traffic in drugs (felony), 2 counts of possession control substance schedule I (felony), possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver control substance schedule II (felony), 2 counts of possession of control substance schedule II (felony), trafficking heroin (felony), possession with intent manufacture/sell/deliver control substance schedule II (felony), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

Under a secured $250,000 bond, Campbell has since bonded out of the Rowan County Detention Center.

Wood was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon prohibited (felony), trafficking in drugs (felony), 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance schedule I (felony), possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a controlled substance schedule II (felony), possession of controlled substance schedule II (felony), trafficking in heroin (felony), possession with intent manufacture/sell/deliver control substance schedule II (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substances (misdemeanor).

Wood under a secured $275,000 bond is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Rankin is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture a substance schedule II (felony), possession of a controlled substance schedule II (felony), and possession of a controlled substance schedule VI (felony).

Under a secured $10,000 bond, Rankin has since bonded out of the Rowan County Detention Center.
