♦ According to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources Daniel Dewayne Wood, 39, and his wife Sherry Lynn Wood, 43, living at 6775 Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, N.C. were subject to a drug and firearms raid in a joint operation by Rowan County Sherriff deputies and personnel from the U.S. Department of Homeland security.

Daniel Wood was charged with traffic in methamphetamine (felony), trafficking heroin and opium (felony), and maintain a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance (felony). Additional charges may be pending concerning possessing a firearm by a felon prohibited (felony) and possessing stolen goods (felony).
Under a secured $500,000 bond, he is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Under a secured $25,000 bond, she has since bonded out of the Rowan County Detention Center.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating allegations of Mr. Woods involvement in prescription drug and methamphetamine distribution as well as his purchasing a large cache of firearms and ammo.
Daniel Dewayne Wood’s Previous record:
Mr. Wood, being a convicted felon, can not possess firearms. A photo of the alleged arms and drug haul at 6775 Stokes Ferry Road in Salisbury.
The Thursday search of the premises at 6775 Stokes Ferry Drive turned up the following: 61 grams of meth ice, 641 oxymorphone tablets, a highly addictive pain killer, 90 tapentadol tablets, 151 clonazepam tablets, 25 naloxone doses. The investigation discovered that Woods was obtaining some prescriptions legally from a Salisbury pain clinic and selling them. Meticulous drug legers were said to be found in Wood’s home.
Also allegedly found in the search of Wood’s home were 27 firearms including handguns, rifles, assault weapons, shotguns, and thousands of rounds of assorted ammo. The investigation is attempting to discover if any of the weapons were stolen. Further $13,000 in cash was found along with a stolen Kowasaki dirt bike, two motorcycles, and a pickup truck.
