Salisbury: Beaten with a Handgun Thursday at Circle K on E. Innes St., Kevin Vaughn Later Arrested for Allegedly Driving While Impaired

♦  The Salisbury convenience store nightmare continues.  According to Salisbury Police sources Kevin C. Vaughn, 28, of 119 Fries Street in Salisbury, was the victim of an “assault-gun” in the parking lot at the Circle K convenience store on 1015 E. Innes Street.  Just after midnight Thursday morning Vaughn was attacked by a stranger beating him senseless with a handgun and bloodying his head at the scalp line.  Someone reported the attack to 911 dispatch and officers arrived on the scene a short time later.  Vaughn’s assailant left before they arrived.

Officers, seeing Vaughn’s alleged condition, arrested him and charged him “driving while impaired”.  Under a secured $5,000 bond, Vaughn was placed in the Rowan County Detention.
