RFP Staff
♦ Tuesday at around 9:45 a.m. the RFP received several alarming reports of multiple gunshots from civilians in the area of the Salisbury Police HQ at 130 E. Liberty Street. To a person they all believed the shots were fired at or very near the Police HQ building. Generally we don’t put any reports up unless we can find confirming police reports of a criminal incident happening. Yesterday civilians were anxiously asking if the gunfire was something akin to the movie “Assault on Precinct 13”, maybe one of the worst acted movies ever where a gang with a score to settle attacked a police station.
We have no idea what happened at 130 E. Liberty Street yesterday other than shots were fired and we doubt either the Police will tell us (It’s a fireable offense for anyone working for the city or the Fibrant reduced Police Department to talk with us.) As many notice, City Hall’s habitual practice of “Hide it, Don’t Fix It” has basically tanked the city. Many citizens don’t trust city hall or it’s current police chief.
If you are religious you may want to pray for our officers. Or wish them the best of luck if you are not. It is a dangerous job especially so in the 9th ranked most dangerous city in North Carolina.
Here’s yesterday’s police event report that verifies a firearm was discharged at or near the Salisbury’s Police HQ.:
Here’s a trailer for one of the worst cop movies ever “Assault on Precinct 13” (Warning not for youngsters or those disturbed by excessive violence, horrific acting, or the use of foul language):
