♦ The 2017 MURDER TOLL for Salisbury, N.C.: The Salisbury Police Confirmed Homicide Tally from January 1st to December 31st:
Currently in 2017 there are 8 homicide victims inside of Salisbury’s corporate limits. The dead are:
• On January 12th Symone Marie Jones, 19, a transgender woman born Eugene Jones II, allegedly died as the result of being injected with non-medical grade silicone. Kavonceya Iman Cornelius, 42, was charged with the homicide.
• On February 17th Demareo O’Bryan Best, 28, was shot-to-death after an argument in a home on Oakwood Avenue. Tasman Stockdale, 27, was charged with the murder.
• On May 27th Timothy Lee Grady, 34, died as a result of a gunshot wound after an alleged altercation with Frankie Eugene Cox, Jr. Frankie Eugene Cox, Jr., 31, was charged with the homicide.
• On July 29th Dequan Robertson, 23, was shot-to-death in Downtown Salisbury on West Fisher Street not far from Go Burrito. Jalen Lamont Cook, 23, was charged with the murder.
• Also on July 29th Anthony Gill, 22, was shot-to-death in Downtown Salisbury on West Fisher Street not far from Go Burrito. Jalen Lamont Cook, 23, was charged with the murder.
• On July 31st Shawn Spry, 21, was gunned down outside a home on S. Link Street. Joseph Whitmire, 24, AKA Joey Portis was charged with the murder.
• On August 12th Jeffrey Allen Ramsey, Jr., 24, died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest in the parking lot of the Three Stars Mini Mart on N. Main Street. Malik Eric Johnson, 21, was charged with the murder.
• On August 27th Kornell Cook, 24, was shot-to-death outside the Brenner Crossing Apartments. Elija-wn Oglesby, 18, was charged with the murder. The Salisbury Police are currently hunting for Oglesby’s alleged accomplice Xavier Lowe, 17.
