♦ The burglaries and break-ins, affecting Salisbury businesses, continue at a high rate. According to Salisbury Police sources Tri-Electric Inc. at 2221 Old Wilkesboro Road was the victim early Tuesday morning of a “burglary-forcible entry”, “motor vehicle theft-truck”, and a “vandalism”. Burglars cut through a chain-link fence with a cutting tool to steal a white 1995 GMC truck from the back lot valued at $20,000. Damage to the fence was estimated at $200. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 6:10 a.m.
The crime remains under further investigation. At this time no suspects have been named.
