Salisbury: Gunman Opens Fire Tuesday Aftenoon During Gun Assault at 1523 North Main Street

♦ The daily reports of gunfire and sirens being heard throughout crime ridden Salisbury, N.C. continues.  According to Salisbury Police sources five persons were victims of an “assault-gun” and “vandalism” at 1523 North Main Street on Tuesday when a stranger threatened them and fired a handgun, damaging an exterior wall (damage estimated at $100).

Police investigators arriving on the scene found shell casings and listed 5 victims: Goldie Chapman, 55,  of Woodleaf Road, Salisbury, Tijuana Hooker, 44, a resident of 1523 N. Main Street, Austin Coleman, W. 14th Street, Salisbury, Quantus Gaither, of 1523 N. Main Street, and Preston Dalton, of W. Liberty Street, Salisbury.  No injuries were recorded.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 12:45 p.m.

The case remains open.  No suspects presently named.
