♦ The non-stop pillaging of Salisbury business and industrial sites continues.  Out-of state and out-of-town gangs, specializing in big ticket construction equipment and materials, are drawn into Salisbury’s criminal vortex offering easy pickings and little resistance from an understaffed and underpaid police department.

According to Salisbury Police sources Carolina Fine Grading, Inc., a concrete contactor located at 600 N. Long Street “J” in Salisbury, was victimized Tuesday morning by a “burglary-forced entry”.  The burglars broke out a glass window on a garage door and helped themselves to a $2,500 construction laser. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 8:55 a.m. and officers arrived a short time later.
