♦ According to Salisbury Police sources narcotics officers hit the jackpot yesterda after an alleged month long investigation when they made a traffic stop at the intersection of South Fulton and South Main Streets. They arrested Joseph Worley Alexander, III, 37, who was the driver of rented black Ford Explorer. When Alexander was taken into custody, officers allegedly found cocaine on his person. This opened more doors for the Salisbury Police which they were quick to exploit.
After obtaining a search warrant they motored down on Alexander’s residence at 322 Henry Laurens Circle. Seized at the alleged drug and gun nest were 16.2 ounces of cocaine, 14.6 ounces of marijuana, 3 handguns, drug paraphernalia, and $10,543 in currency.
