♦ Strong arm robberies AKA as brute strength robberies are becoming a major player in Salisbury’s robbery scene right up there with guns, knives, and blunt force objects. A sizeable number of persons wind up with a trip to the ER for treatment for their injuries sustained from being severely beaten for their money, watches, jewelry, and smart phones.
According to the Salisbury Police Department sources Darnell Keith, 59, living at 1714 N. Long Street, was the victim Tuesday of a “robbery-strong arm no weapon” at his home when a stranger stole $629 in cash from Keith. No injuries were reported after the confrontation. It’s alleged that drugs/alcohol may have had a role in the incident.
The crime remains under investigation. No suspects have been named at this time.
