Salisbury: Anthony Cunningham Arrested Tuesday on Allen Lane for Allegedly Stealing a Shotgun and Multiple Breaking and Entries

♦ According to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources Anthony Mason Cunningham, 18, convicted felon, living at 220 Allen Lane in the Salisbury, was arrested at his residence at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday for a long list of alleged larcenies, breaking and entering vehicles, businesses, and homes, stealing a shotgun, and assorted drug charges.

Under a secured $30,000 bond, Cunningham is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center. His first hearing is slated for Thursday.

On Tuesday, according to reports, Cunningham allegedly broke into or attempted to break into a number of businesses, homes, and vehicles parked at Sharp Transit not far from Cunningham’s residence. Cunningham was suspected of stealing a Benelli shotgun, a Drake Jacket, and a Drake gun case together said to be worth $1,710.

Cunningham’s trip back into the criminal justice system began when he allegedly fired the stolen Benelli shotgun.  Deputies, already working the case at Sharp Transit, received a call of shots fired in the area. They responded to Allen Lane where they located Cunningham and the stolen shotgun. A search of Cunningham’s residence turned up a marijuana plant, grow lights, digital scales, baggies, and a bong.

Cunningham is also suspected of a Barrier Lane break-in where he allegedly stole jewelry, a nail gun, coins, and prescription medication. Cunningham allegedly was seen near the home by a neighbor.
