♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Jeremy Eugene Motley, 27, a convicted felon living at 201 Grayson Drive in Salisbury, was allegedly found unconscious in his Nissan Versa by a gas pump at Kangaroo Express at 2270 Statesville Boulevard at 6 a.m. Officers knocked on Motley’s window before he became conscious, yet disoriented. With no tell-tale odor of alcohol on him, Motley allegedly appeared as if he was under the influence of drugs.
Motley told police he and his wife recently visited an arcade. An officer asked his permission to search the Versa and Motley complied, stepping out of the vehicle. It wasn’t long before officers allegedly found glass bulb smoking pipe and a white substance, testing positive for four grams of meth. In the car’s rear was a lunch bag that contained a small bottle of 4 suboxone strips, a painkiller employed in treating opioid addiction. Further a gum wrapper containing heroin, a digital scale, a clonazepam pill, a gram of heroin, and $1,295 in cash were located on Motley.
Motely was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center at 612 Moxville Road for treatment where warrants were served on him and he was arrested. Under a secured $25,000 bond, Motely is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
