Gold Hill: Jason Dillard and Brittany Tucker Nailed by Sheriff’s Office Friday for Alleged Opioid Trafficking. Both Get $2 Million Dollar Bonds

According to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources Jason Scott Dillard, 41, and Brittany Michelle Tucker, 28, both living at 725 Old U.S. Hwy 80, Gold Hill were arrested at their residence on Friday by Rowan County Sheriff’s investigators. It was their 3rd arrest within 8 days. Dillard was arrested at 12:02 a.m. and Tucker was arrested at 10:43 a.m. Both Dillard and Tucker were jailed for a lengthy list of alleged felonious Control substance schedule I and schedule II charges including trafficking heroin or opium.

Under secured $2,000,000 bonds, the pair are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center. Their first court appearance will be on Tuesday morning February 20th.

The arrests were part of a two year investigation triggered by complaints about heroin trafficking at 725 Old U.S. Hwy 80 in Gold Hill.

Dillard allegedly was distributing approximately 100 grams of heroin per week from Mexican National suppliers based in Charlotte, N.C. From August 2017 until September 2017 investigators made 3 purchases from Dillard at his Gold Hill home. Heroin, prescription pills, suspected stolen property, a money county machine, and about $6,000 in cash showed up as evidence in the first alleged sale.

During the Tuesday February 13th arrest Dillard was charged for conspiracy to traffic heroin. Dillard was inside house with Dillard’s girlfriend Michelle Tucker who lived at the home. A third person Kenneth Wayne Moose, 36, living at 1825 Liberty Road in Gold Hill, was found in possession of heroin at Dillard’s residence. Dillard allegedly kept most of his drugs in a locked safe in his house.

On February 16th a third and final arrest was made at the Dillard residence. Dillard’s house was kept under heavy surveillance night and day since the first arrest.

Kenneth Wayne Moose:

Moose was charged with possessing control substance I (felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor). Under a secured $1,500 bond, Moose has since bonded out of the Rowan County Detention Center.
