♦ Uptick in street robberies throughout Salisbury since the New Year with bandits armed with firearms, rocks, knives, bats, brass knuckles, and plain old fists and feet (strong arm).  Where ever you are, whether its the West End, Downtown, Fulton Heights, or the Country Club, stay alert to your surroundings.  Pack and get a concealed carry permit or risk becoming another statistic.  Criminals can obtain firearms anywhere or buy them “hot” off the street. They rarely if ever purchase firearms through traditional licensed vendors.  Many armed robbers are junked up and possess hair-trigger tempers.  Life can end quickly on city streets, parking lots, or in the doorways of a convenience store.  Stay alert–stay alive.

According to Salisbury Police sources Ronal Alexander Izagurle-Mejia, 33, was the victim of a “robbery-firearm” at 1200 W. Fisher Street on Tuesday.  At the time of this writing the police incident report was not yet posted so we don’t know yet if anyone was injured or what property or monies were stolen during the robbery.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 10:08 p.m.
