Salisbury: Arson Sunday Morning at 711 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. // Teen Torches Ford Van Friday on Forney Street

♦ According to Salisbury Police sources Shanta Conner, 30, living at the Brookview Apartments, 711 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the victim of “arson other residential” when a boyfriend allegedly threatened to burn her apartment down and doused gasoline on the ground around it.  The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 7:31 a.m. No injuries were reported.

♦ Salisbury Police sources report that Cedric Robertson, 57, living on Henderson Street in Spencer, was the victim of “arson motor vehicle” when his elderly 1988 yellow Ford Club Wagon Van, parked at 624 Forney Street in Salisbury, was set on fire by a 14 year-old boy living two blocks away. A neighbor reportedly found the vehicle on fire and doused the smoldering front seat with water. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 12:36 p.m.

When Robertson learned that a 14 year-old boy set fire to the vehicle, he decided not to press charges. The van was aged and had no real value.
