♦This past Monday the Rowan County Commissioners unanimously passed a resolution opposing House Bill 870 an act that requires all public bodies to record meetings held in closed session. This bill goes against N.C Open Meetings Statute, G.S. 143-318.11 which allows public bodies to meet in closed session for certain purposes. Below are both the Rowan County Commissioner’s resolution and House Bill 870.
