Salisbury Police sources report that the Comfort Suites at 1040 E. Innes Street was the victim of a “robbery-firearm” on Saturday night when 3 Black men dressed entirely in black with black hoodie sweatshirts, entered the lobby from the front door. One jumped over reception desk, drawing a black semi-automatic handgun on the desk clerk James Rogers, Jr. and demanded money. The clerk complied giving the robber $78.79 in cash before the trio left the building and fled in a white sedan toward I-85. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 8:35 a.m. No injuries reported.

The Comfort Suites robbers all dressed in black, fitting the same description and driving in a white sedan, robbed a Thomasville, N.C. Comfort Suites with a handgun early Friday morning before 2 a.m. One of the robbers wore Pittsburg Steelers jacket.
With April coming in a few days the I-85 Crime Tourism season arrives.
This case remains under investigation.
