According to Salisbury’s Police sources Lashawn Crump, 37, and Anthony Crump, 36, both living on Ridge Creek Ct. in Salisbury, were victims of an “assault-gun” and “assault-simple physical” when they were jumped by a group of young people at the Firewater Restaurant and Bar at 122 S. Avalon Drive and brutally beaten into unconsciousness. A gunshot was heard in the area, but this could not be confirmed. A small crowd rapidly formed in the area until they were dispersed by arriving officers called to the area by 911 Dispatch at 1:51 a.m. Police vehicles quickly filled the area around Salisbury’s most popular night spot.
