According to Salisbury Police sources two black males with bad intentions came up on Delores Allen, 32, of Vance Avenue, sitting in her car in the Tinseltown parking lot at 305 Faith Road. She was waiting for a friend. Startled, Allen looked up to notice the men leveling a gun on her before they ordered her out of the Cadillac. The car was parked in the semi-darkness between the theater and the strip mall shopping area. Not really a safe place any hour of the day.
Commanding Allen’s dark blue 2008 Cadillac CTS sedan, the carjackers wheeled out of the lot and headed out toward E. Innes Street. Allen gave up credit cards, her pocketbook, an Apple IPhone, and her Cadillac (Total value $9,551).
No injuries were reported during the carjack. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 9:30 p.m.
The Tinseltown Parking lot has a reputation rivaling the dangerous Wells Fargo parking lot in Downtown Salisbury and the Walmart parking lot on Avalon Drive. Never leave anything of value in your vehicle in any of those lots least of all yourself.
