Letter-to-the-Editor: Questions about Left Faith-Based “Unity” Initiatives and the Recent City “Audit”

Staci Morgan, Salisbury, N.C.

♦ We need to take a closer look at The Left’s faith-based initiatives receiving much play for their manipulation of public opinion.  Someone needs to question the so-called “Unity Service” conducted last evening in a downtown church known for supporting progressive causes.  Sunday evening’s unity service was attended by all of Salisbury’s city council, Jon Barber who is under investigation, and many from the “Rowan Concerned Citizens”.  It appears they are trying to pray for “unity”, which in Salisbury, is the absence of any dissent to the city’s agenda.  Of course to date that agenda has failed to make our city vibrant and has left us on the rocks.

A question still resonates with anyone who bothered to read between the lines of Ms. Braswell’s report on the city’s audit in early January.  How can Ms. Braswell, writing for the city’s audit company, applaud the city for getting Fibrant “closer to breaking even”, while the city already claims “profitability”, despite bleeding off yet another $2.6 MILLION from SRU’s Water/Sewer reserve fund?  Fibrant is still tooting that profitability horn in the 2nd quarter even though it hiding its employee’s salaries in other departments.  What else is the city hiding?

And dare I ask what Mr. Barber’s war on “food injustice” is all about?  Heaven forbid someone has to pay for food in the new Salisbury order?
