♦ The Rowan County Commissioner’s met on Monday, February 17th at 6 P.M in the J. Newton Cohen, Sr. Room. at the Rowan County Administration Building, 130 West Innes Street, Salisbury, NC.
Highlights of Monday’s meeting were:
• Discussion of “Bandit” a dog badly injured by a car, then put down at the county animal control gas chamber. (Public Commentary)
• Bob Oswald discusses Veteran’s Homeless Shelter in Spencer. (Public Commentary)
• Mediator Witchard will not call impasse in county commissioner and school board mediation. County Commissioners invited to meet with school board one more time next week.
• Set Public Hearing For FY 14-15 HOME Application For March 3, 2014
• Discussion of Energy Program for Schools
• Discussion of Contracts for New Venders at the West End Plaza
• Authorization for Livestock Extension Agent to Submit Grant Application to North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund
• Consider Approval of Applications for Voluntary Agricultural Programs
• Consider Approval of Resolution Authorizing Application for IDF Grant Funding
• Consider Approval of Budget Amendments
