J.D. Power (A division of  McGraw Hill) independent Consumer Ratings of Internet, TV, and VOIP phone services are recognized as the industry’s report card on service, product, and customer satisfaction.  You will note that not a single municipal broadband “network” made any of the J.D. Power lists.  Fibrant is non competitive on this list because it simply can not carry the shoelaces of any of these deep pocketed, less expensive, and vastly more experienced and superior broadband companies who CRUSH them in internet performance, service, retention and negotiation services, in consumer required speeds, having no contracts, better trained and more experienced service technicians, experienced area and regional management, equipment buying power, and offer TV over internet enabled devices.  Plus these private free enterpise companies do not suck taxpayers, utility bill payers, storm water fee payers dry nor do they decimate city services such as witnessed in the after effects of the Fibrant debacle.  Where did all of Salisbury’s groundskeepers go?  Where did our police and firemen disappear?  How about the fellows who used to prepare and plow our city streets?  Three very loud cheers for the free enterprise system!  It doesn’t gut cities if they fail to make it.
