♦ Granite Quarry–Faith Joint Police Authority is completing its roundup of alleged Salisbury-based ”smash and grab” suspects involved in last week’s Dollar General and convenience store cigarette and beer heists. Three young men are charged. A fourth suspect is still at-large. In custody: Diamonte Crawford,18, (Salisbury), Jacquavious Whisonant,17, (Salisbury) and Kendra Torrence,26, (E. Spencer). Dmari Bryant,18, (Salisbury) is still at-large. Crawford’s bond is set at $35,00, Whisonant’s bond is $7,500, and Torrence’s is $25,000.
The combined efforts of Granite Quarry–Faith Joint Police Authority, Bradshaw’s Bonding, the East Spencer Police Department, area probation officers, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, and the Salisbury Police Department helped in the issuance of warrants and the speedy roundup of suspects.
Stores hit in this run of smash and grabs were 2 Dollar Generals, SV Discounts, Village Groceries, and Pine Ridge General.
Law enforcement is requesting that if anyone has information concerning these cases or the whereabouts of Dmari Bryant, please call 911 or Investigator Taylor at 704-279-2952 . Do not attempt to apprehend Dmari Bryant.
