♦ As city services appeared to buckle under the previous snow emergency and today’s freezing rain, blocked up drains had neighbors in Fulton Heights and elsewhere complaining about basement flooding. According to reports the city has been largely unresponsive to the basement flooding, only making assessments, giving canned excuses, and leaving. If a city department appears unresponsive, go further up the city tree until you get results.
