Concerned Citizens,
♦ Congressman Richard Hudson trashed our Constitution and Bill of Rights! Before we prove to you without any reasonable doubt that Progressive Richard Hudson needs to be removed from office, permit me to say thank you to everyone in the 8th Congressional District for your overwhelming support of Part 1 and Part 2 of “Congressman Richard Hudson has trashed our Constitution and Bill of Rights, AGAIN!” If you have not read my reports in the Rowan Free Press you may do so by clicking here: (Steve, please enter my 2 past article links here. Thank you.)
Since Richard Hudson only wanted to discuss one of his treasonous deeds, NDAA, let’s take a look at how he has responded to the 8th Congressional District with lies and half-truths.
In response to Richard Hudson’s “Setting the Record Straight on NDAA” – March 6th 2014
Hudson has set nothing straight on NDAA. He has only attempted to cover his progressive tracks and traitorous deeds. I have some questions from many very concerned citizens and constituents.
Hudson said that this “important bill that funds our military in order to keep us safe at home and protect our interests abroad. As a true Constitutional Conservative…”
Keep in mind, the Tea Party friendly Freedom Works voting record for Hudson is 33%! Please let that soak in for a moment. Far from a true Constitutional Conservative, at least in the eyes of one organization that helped spur the Tea Party surge in 2010.
Can the facts be any clearer? Hudson must be fired! When a man votes wrong most of the time but only votes correctly every now and then, do we forgive all his bad votes? This man cannot be trusted!
To put Progressive Hudson’s voting record into perspective with perhaps some names you know, Freedom Works ranks the following legislators accordingly: Ted Cruz is 100%, Mike Lee is 100%, and Rand Paul is 98% in voting the way of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights according to Freedom Works.
Congressman Richard Hudson joined hand-in-hand with Kay Hagan to promote Obama’s tyrannical takeover of the United States of America in December 2013 and again in January 2014 to pass NDAA and CISPA. It is past time for all of us to get mad and start firing Progressive Republicans like Richard Hudson! What say you?
Hudson said, “I understand and have a great appreciation for the importance of protecting our right to privacy…” How can this be true? He trashed the 4th Amendment that guarantees our rights to be secure in our persons, houses, papers and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures by voting with Kay Hagan for CISPA! The current version of CISPA threatens to throw out the Constitution “whenever something bad happens.”
Obama and Richard Hudson’s powerful H.R. 624 CISPA bill will now be closer to allowing federal intelligence agencies to share cyber security intelligence and information with private entities and utilities. CISPA would turn Google, Facebook and Twitter into legally immune government spies, and Hudson just helped it pass in the House!
Hudson is doing everything within his power to back up the Obama regime and destroy our great country! Obama and Hudson are on the same side much of the time and Hudson’s Freedom Works voting score proves this, with Hudson’s failing grade of 33%!
Hudson said, “When first examining the bill (NDAA), one of my top priorities was to refuse supporting any type of program that trades our guaranteed civil liberties for the promise of security…”
Again, how can this be true if he is voting for the CISPA spying bill? He couldn’t care less about our civil liberties!
Hudson said, “The issue that has raised some concern is a provision that stops President Obama from closing the prison in Guantanamo Bay and transferring over 150 terrorists to American soil or returning them to their home nations…” Hudson attempts to spin the issue in another direction by speaking of Guantanamo Bay.
He goes on to say, “This section of the bill, known commonly as the indefinite detention provision, specifically stipulates that it does not apply to U.S. citizens. In order to further codify this principle and ensure beyond any shred of doubt that American citizens’ rights would not be infringed, I supported two amendments that were included in the final version that was signed into law…”
Hudson just does not get it. He is actually proud of getting some attention by supporting these two amendments! Remember this if we ever have trials for treason in America’s future!
He continued, “The first establishes that nothing in the Authorization for Use of Military Force (P.L. 107-40), or any other law, shall deny the availability of the writ of habeas corpus to any U.S. citizen…”
This is a half truth + half lie = lie. I will provide details.
Hudson said, “…if apprehended inside the United States. The amendment also requires that the federal government has the burden of proving by clear and convincing evidence that any U.S. citizen is an unprivileged enemy belligerent.
“The second requires the Secretary of Defense to submit an annual report to Congress on U.S. citizens subject to military detention that includes: the name of each U.S. citizen; the legal justification for such detention; and the steps taken to provide judicial process for or to release each such citizen. The amendment stipulates that the report shall be made available to all Members of Congress and be created in unclassified form.
“All of these components provided me with adequate assurance that our constitutionally enshrined civil liberties would be protected. At that point, I was proud to lend my support to this important bill to provide for the common defense.” End of Hudson tap dance.
Why have Hudson and his Congressmen friends continued to allow Obama to build up his “private army” Homeland Security?
Remember, Hudson is on the Homeland Security Committee. Obama pledged: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
Hudson has voted to give Obama the power he needs to disappear people like you and me. Reading from Richard Hudson’s Rowan Free Press article, one would believe that the NDAA is nothing more nefarious than a necessary replenishing of Pentagon funds. There are much more than budget issues contained in the legislation of NDAA.
Finally, there is CISPA legislation for 2014… A frightening combination of the federal government’s constant surveillance of innocent Americans (Hudson voted for CISPA in January 2014) and the assistance it will give to justifying the indefinite detention of anyone labeled an enemy of the regime.
In order to accomplish the center’s purpose, the secretary of defense will create an information exchange in cooperation with the director of national intelligence.
Finally, when all the foregoing is couched within the context of the revelations regarding the dragnet surveillance programs of the NSA, it becomes evident that, because of votes from Most Dishonorable Hudson, anyone’s phone records, e-mail messages, browsing history, text messages, and social media posts could qualify as a “captured record.”
All, of course, in the name of the security of the homeland and Most Dishonorable Hudson’s votes of which he is so proud.
Although the outlook is dire because of the likes of Richard Hudson, there are those willing to stand and oppose the threats to liberty posed by the NDAA.
For example, Libertarian icon and former presidential candidate Ron Paul announced that he would work to fight enforcement of unconstitutional provisions of the NDAA nationwide. Unlike Richard Hudson with a voting record of … 33% … from Freedom Works!
8th Congressional District, there is great news! We can fire Richard Hudson and replace him! People all across America are waking up to the tyrannical takeover of our great country, from the likes of Congressman Richard Hudson and President Obama! Some have called it a “Great Awakening to Tyranny” that is sweeping across America!
In closing I say: Thank you for holding Congressman Richard Hudson accountable for voting for NDAA. Please be aware that he also voted for CISPA, which will limit our ability to have conversations about our representative voting records. While disguised as a way to protect us from a cyber attack, it allows the National Security Agency (NSA) to continue spying on each of us. Why did Congressman Hudson vote to continue spying on you?
As the great Paul Harvey would say: “Now you have heard the rest of the story.” Congressman Richard Hudson is NOT a Constitutional Conservative! He maybe a great husband and great dad but NOT a Constitutional Conservative! Please do not insult our intelligence, Congressman Richard Hudson.
For Our Great Cause,
Tony Treece,
