Public Announcement
♦ Thank you for expressing interest in our March Amateur Radio Technician License class. If you should find that you will not be able to attend the class, please let me know as soon as possible as our seating is limited. We have about 20 people so far who have expressed an interest and we have a limit of 24 folks for this class, so I ask that you reply to this email and confirm that you will be taking the class.
The books should be in the first of next week, and some will be available for pickup at the Army Navy store on Statesville Ave Salisbury or you may contact me and we can arrange for you to pick them up in the Salisbury area. I will send out an email when they are in.
Our location for the class will be the EH Dole American Red Cross Chapter at 1930 West Jake Alexander Blvd Salisbury , NC 28147 . Hours will be 6-10 PM Friday 21 March, 8 to 6 Saturday 22 March, 8 to 4 Sunday with testing beginning at 430 PM Sunday afternoon after class.
The cost of the class is finalized at $32 including book and license testing fee. I know a couple of you have the ARRL book, which may be useful for you, but the class is being presented by a different curriculum though it contains the same information in a different order.
Below you will find links to a few online practice test sessions, which are free to take and will help give you some idea of what you may or may not know. They are the actual questions and answers that appear on various tests, but the order of the answers always changes (so learning A D B C A etc won’t help!) Also included is the link to the actual question pools, from which the test questions are pulled.

The exam pool questions and answers are found at http://www.arrl.org/question-pools
If you have a group of 10 or more people who would like to take this class, please contact me and we will see about setting up a class for you. Our intention is to hopefully offer the Technician license class twice a year (more if there is interest), same with the General license class, and the Amateur Extra class.
Again thank you for your interest in Amateur Radio
