♦ Hate to warn people about Salisbury, NC’s tumble straight toward the bottom of all cities and towns in the North Carolina. Been warning people about the Bury for a year now. While they remain a legend in their own minds, Downtown Salisbury ONLY recent Visioning Forum pleaded for a giant needle park, Thread Trails like the one where 3 joggers got bammed in Charlotte, a supersized homeless shelter to make Salisbury a magnet for more bums and junkies, and for the county taxpayers to come in and bail the freak show called Salisbury out.

Okay let me break it to you. I told the RFP yesterday their Area Vibes rating for down-in-the-heals dump Salisbury was no longer 107th place as once was. Salisbury is now ranked 233rd city and town in North Carolina. Freakin’ East Spencer has a higher rating than Salisbury and deservedly so. Mayor Barbara Mallet and her aldermen have been bringing East Spencer up. Meanwhile Salisbury has failed to sponge anything more off the county taxpayers thanks to the county commissioners.

Y’all Downtown Salisbury ONLY has bragging rights to saying: “AT LEAST WERE BETTER THAN LUMBERTON!” or you can swagger around sayin’ “I’m from the BURY–you gotta problem?”

Yep Salisbury never made it into the top 100 cities and towns in North Carolina. The Bury dropped all the way down from 107th place to 233rd place in North Carolina city and town ratings for 2014. Probably all their Fibrant debt, bad public education, extreme crime, and top-rated poverty. Check it out:

Anyone with an ounce of sense are unloading their homes pronto and skedaddling to safer places with a future. Salisbury has timed out.
