♦ “What can be done to improve the economy” is the sixty four thousand dollar question. The recent
“community” suggestions from the group led by Mr. Ed McMahon and his comrades
at the Centralina Council of Governments (a Foreign Relations Council
wannabe) will not do the trick. To get a better grip on the larger picture,
the Federal government has all but de-industrialized the entire U.S. with
it’s assortment of “free trade” agreements. These multi-thousand page
documents, written by the global corporations themselves, are in reality,
complete, micro managed government trade agreements that not only undermine
U.S. sovereignty but always puts American businesses and workers to
disadvantage with the foreign countries the agreements were designed to cater to.
These same corporations have traded their souls, trade secrets and patents
in exchange for slave labor in third world countries. These agreements were
bought and sold behind closed doors. And you know that not one Congressman
or Senator ever read any of the documents before they voted on them.
Real “Free Trade” agreements would require almost no written wording as there
would simply be an absence of government interference in trade. Never the
less, we got them. and goodbye industry. Though a few of these industries
moved back to the U.S. for various reasons, we still are at a major
disadvantage to our “trading partners”. The trade deficit is so bad for us
that it doesn’t get mentioned any more. We need manufacturing first and
foremost. That is the real strength of any nation and it’s economy.
Manufacturing creates wealth like nothing else and supports untold related
service industries and jobs. Remember, it was our manufacturing strength
that enabled us to prevail against our enemies in two great world wars. We
could never have won if we were not able to out produce and out innovate the
enemy. There’s not much manufactured in America to speak of now. And today,
you see most American made things in antique malls or flea markets.
The Federal government regulatory agencies such as the EPA, OHSA, FDA, IRS and scores
of others continue to wreak havoc with U.S. businesses. They harass us with
unending, unceasing rules and regulations, each with ever increasing fines
and penalties. Businesses are finding it impossible to please
Uncle Says So. The Federal Reserve (it is not Federal and there are no
reserves) continues to debase the currency with it’s unending creation
of new money. Just in the first one hundred years alone, a dollar will now
purchase what a penny would when the FED was created back in 1913 – when
they were given a monopoly on our money system. The FED is the reason
everything we buy perpetually goes up in price. The central bank alone is the soul source of inflation.
The Federal government uses this tool to create as much money as needed to do anything and
everything imaginable outside the wildest imaginations of lunatics.
Perpetual wars, (funding the military industrial complex) the
welfare state, foreign aid, infinite spending without a ceiling. I won’t
mention the federal debt.
The inflation we always experience is
actually a tax. Probably the most uniform tax because it hits everyone, rich
or poor with the same percentage. Other taxes are too numerous to list. And
each dollar stolen in taxes robs the free market of capital that would be
spent more efficiently to improve the economy.
We have the highest corporate tax in the world. Is there any wonder we are
at a great disadvantage just because of this? The feds have created an
ever increasing dependent class with it’s “war on poverty”. We obviously
lost it years ago because since it was launched in 1964. After 50 years
poverty is much worse today. In fact, we are loosing the middle class at an
alarming rate. So goes our purchasing ability and prosperity. The Feds
continually pass scores of unconstitutional laws and then force them on the
States. The Courts, including the Supreme Court regularly and effectively
create law which most people including the legislators actually believe ARE
law. No one questions.
The Feds continue to wage war on real energy sources
while making us believe lies about “green energy” or “Global warming”. The
war on coal alone is going to cost each of us more at the electric meter.
But the consequences of sending more industry abroad because of higher energy
costs is the real damage. Personally, I can’t wait until the feds gain
control of the power grid. It will naturally be for our own good to protect
us from terrorism or something. We hear more and more talk of it. And when
they do get control of this jewel, we will have roving blackouts just as
surely as we will have rains in the spring. (Brought to you by the same
people that brought you Obamacare).
Just to mention Chairman Obama, the tyrant-in-chief has proven himself very capable of destroying the old
American system and it’s prosperity so he can “fundamentally change”
America. He has worked very successfully to divide Americans on almost every
issue. Can anyone out there recall anything at
all that he has done to improve our situation? I’ll stop here on this one.
I could go on much longer. There certainly is much more but I think
you getting the picture. In short, our Federal government has put every
state, every county, and every city in dire straits for solutions to our
economic woes. As our elected Representatives in Washington have NOT
represented us! If you haven’t come to terms with this fact yet, you surely
will sooner than later.
Mr. McMahon and his Agenda 21 is not the answer we need for anything. His
“community visioning” nonsense will only lead to more government in our
lives and business affairs. How can any of the States, Counties and Cities
recover from their economic problems with the federal government kicking all the chairs
out from under every enterprise we try to advance? We can’t. We simply
cannot rebound and become a great nation again with the ball and chain of
Washington dragging us down.
If the local leaders, movers, shakers and business owners really want to
increase jobs and prosperity and to stop our slide into government
control and eventual ruin, they should convince their State Representatives
to start nullifying federal dictates. They should work with our elected
Representatives on all levels to put America first. And if our elected officials
don’t work for the betterment of the country, Vote them out and get someone
else to take their place. Every County out there is scrambling under the
weight of Uncle Sam’s strong arm of it’s own laws and as long as we have
this parasitic government growth sucking the life out of us,
there is nothing that we, Mr. McMahon and all the kings men can do to put
Humpty Dumpty back together again.
